Awhile ago, I read somewhere that Johnny Cash invited Mike Ness to record a duet.
Did this ever happen? Cuz, it would have been a bad-ass thing to hear?
A legend of the past and a legend of the present. Would've been awesome!!

I haven't heard that- but I know Mike Ness invited Johnny Cash to sing a duet for Cheating- but at the time Cash was too ill with pneumonia.

I remember reading a while back that Johnny Cash was supposed to sing with Ness on "Ballad of a Lonely Man", but it never happened.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Yeah, he wrote the song for Cash too- it would have been much better than a duet with "the boss".
I know there are alot of fans here- but as someone who grew up in Jersey, I don't care for him.

Too bad that it didn't happen. But I do like the duet with The Boss. It rocks!

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Absolutely!! That's one of the best tracks on the album, IMO (and I love the whole thing)! I wish they would do more together.

I don't care for Springsteen's "Born on the USA", "Glory Days" shit, .. but as he's grown older, he's gotten way into his roots, ..and records like "Ghost of Tom Joad" and "Nebraska" are good records. Closer to what Cash was like, and even Mike too for that matter. -JB
